Product details

Excessive phosphorus (P) content can cause eutrophication of water bodies, leading to excessive proliferation of algae and damaging the aquatic ecological environment. It is one of the important water quality detection indicators for surface water, groundwater, and wastewater. Based on the phosphorus molybdenum yellow spectrophotometric method, theHigh range phosphate pre made reagentThe operation is simple and fast, the testing cost is low, and it can meet the requirements of batch, rapid, and accurate determination of various water quality.

In acidic media, orthophosphate reacts with molybdic acid and forms yellow phosphovanadate molybdate with metavanadate. The depth of yellow color in the sample is directly proportional to the phosphorus content.

Testing precautions

High range phosphate pre made reagentmatters needing attention

1. For more accurate testing, the blank value of each new batch of reagents should be measured. The determination of reagent blank is also carried out according to the testing steps, except that the sample is replaced with pure water for testing. Subtract the blank value of the reagent from the final test result;

2. If the content is higher than the reagent range, the measured value can only be used to estimate the dilution factor and cannot be used as a test result. After diluting the sample, retest;

3. This reagent is sensitive to temperature, and the temperature of the sample tube during testing should be between 10-26 ℃. Below 10 ℃ will result in lower test results, while above 26 ℃ will result in higher results. If the temperature of the test tube is higher than 30 ℃ during testing, it will cause the test results to be more than 5% higher, and the results are not reliable;

4. The triangular positioning mark on the colorimetric tube should be aligned with the positioning mark on the instrument during zeroing and reading;

5. The waste liquid tested contains heavy metals such as molybdenum and vanadium, as well as moderate concentrations of sulfuric acid. Personal protective measures should be taken during the experiment, and hands should be washed with clean water after the test is completed;

6. Phosphate testing waste liquid should not be poured into the sewer. It should be collected uniformly and disposed of properly.
